Domenic J. Forcella of Hough Street, Plainville,
died Wednesday at Southington Care Center.
He was 77.

He was born in Plainville, and was employed by
General Electric of Plainville for 43 years until his retirement.

He was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II
and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Plainville.
Mr. Forcella was chairman of the Plainville Town Council for
five years and was founder and past president of the Great Plains Toastmaster Club. He received the VFW Sportsman
of the Year Award in 1972.

He leaves his wife, Josephine D’Agostino Forcella; a son,
Domenic Forcella of Newington; a daughter, JoAnne Forcella
of Plainville; a brother, Anthony Forcella of Plainville;
a sister, Josephine Fiorente of Bristol; and
many nieces and nephews.

The funeral is Friday, at 9 a.m.,
from Della Vecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington,
to Our Lady of Mercy Church at 10 a.m Plainville.

Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville.
