George A. Denniss, formerly of Plainville and New Britain,
died after a brief illness in Las Vegas, NV on Saturday (November 24, 2001).

He was born on September 27, 1919 in Farmington, to William and Bertha (Steinhorst) Denniss.

He worked for Superior Electric Company in Bristol for
over 30 years, and retired to Las Vegas, NV.

He was a communicant of the Christ the King Catholic Church,
a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus,
and a former chairman of the Plainville Zoning Board of Appeals.

He served as State Tournament director for the
Connecticut Duckpin Bowlers Association for 20 years
and was recently inducted into the Connecticut Duckpin Bowlers
Association's Hall of Fame for meritorious service.

He is predeceased by two brothers, Jeffery and Carl. He will be greatly missed
by his loving wife of 57 years, Leona (Muszynski) Denniss; and his children, Clifford M.
and his wife Dorothy of Bristol, and Carole M. McPhee and her husband Gary of Kensington.
He also leaves a sister, Dorothy Lindquist of Plainville; a brother, William Denniss
of Sierra Vista, AZ; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
