John J. Zacharski, 98, of New Britain died on Thursday November 20, 2008 at home.
He was the beloved husband of the late Nellie Dzielinski Zacharski for 53 years.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, he grew up in New Britain and lived in Plainville over 50 years before returning
to New Britain a few years ago. John retired from New Britain Machine after 25 years of employment
and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, New Britain.

He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus, Plainville.

Survivors include his sister-in-law Mary Zacharski of Port St. Lucie, FL, several nieces and nephews
including his nephew and wife Chris Zacharski and Charlotte of Manorville, L.I., NY,
nieces and their husbands Eileen Cote and Richard of Fairfax Station, VA, Barbara Bartoli and Hector of Middletown,
Sandra Fisher and Robert of Port St. Lucie, FL, Rita Hart and Wallace of Plymouth, Susan Lindberg
and Richard of West Hartford and many grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was predeceased by his niece Mary Ann Janik Menchise.
John also leaves his niece's husband Donald Menchise of Nashville, TN.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2008, 9:30 a.m., from
Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain,
 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church.
Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Terryville.
Family and friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., at Burritt Hill.
