Stanley H. Gladych, Sr. 91, of Plainville, died May
27, 2008.
He was the husband of the late Anna L. Gladych. He was born May 8, 1917, in
Plymouth, and was the eldest son of the late Anthony and Anna Gladych.
He was a longtime resident of Plainville, where he was a member of
the Knights of Columbus and a deacon at Our Lady of Mercy Church.
He was a world traveler, skilled craftsman and passionate gardener.
He was founder and co-owner of the Circle Spring Co. in Plainville
that made springs and small metal parts.
He was also a member of Chippanee Golf Club for many years.
He was an excellent golfer and won numerous pro-am golf tournaments.
He is survived by his three children, Stanley H. Gladych Jr. and his wife,
Rita Gladych, of Stonington, Joanne Gladych Bellantoni, of Natick, Mass.,
& Richard Gladych and his wife, Judith Ainley, of Burlington; his
grandchildren, Michael Bellantoni, of Natick, Mass., Rebecca Gladych, of
Stonington,
and Stanley H. Gladych III, his wife, Paula Gladych, and baby, Anthony, of
Denver, Colo.
The funeral was held June 2 at Bailey Funeral Home, Plainville.
Burial was held immediately after the service at St. Joseph Cemetery,
Plainville.
