Sydney H. Symolon, 80, of Plainville, husband of Leocadia (Samsel) Symolon
died Wednesday, (July 17, 2002) at New Britain General Hospital.

Mr. Symolon was born December 5, 1921 in New Britain and was a son
of the late Joseph and Eva (Soltysik) Symolon.

He resided in Plainville for the past 55 years and was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church,
the Rev. Gerald Corrigan Council 3544, Third Degree Knights of Columbus,
 the Francis J. Finn Assembly, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus.

Mr. Symolon was employed at General Electric for 32 years before his retirement in 1984.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a daughter, Lorraine Symolon of Plainville;
and several nieces and nephews including David, Eric, James, Paulette, Tracy and David, Jr. Symolon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, July 20, 11:30 a.m. at
Our Lady of Mercy Church, Plainville.

Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in
St. Joseph Church, Plainville.

Relatives and friends may call at the
Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol,
on Friday, July 19, 6-8 p.m.
