Valmon Roy, 79, of Bristol, husband of Florence (St. Jean) Roy,
died June 16, 2008, at the Bristol Hospital.
He was born Jan. 9, 1929 in Eagle Lake, Maine, the son of the late Augustine and
Marie (Caron) Roy.
He resided in Bristol for 28 years and prior to retiring he was employed at the
O.Z. Gedney Electric Company for 29 years.
He was a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol, and Knights of Columbus Council
3544, Plainville.
In addition to his wife, Valmon, he is survived by two sons, Dennis Roy, of
Bristol, and Brian Roy, of New Hartford;
two brothers, Gilman Roy, of Micco, Fla., and Armand Roy, of Bristol; five
sisters, Norma Bacco, of Bristol,
Louise Michaud, of Kensington, Gilmae Nadeau, of Bristol, Germaine Bedard, of
Fort Kent, Maine,
& Judy Smart, of Fort Kent, Maine; a grandson, Derek B. Roy; and several
nieces and nephews.
The funeral and burial with military honors was in the Connecticut State
Veterans Cemetery,
Middletown and will be at the convenience of the family.
