Martha “Marty” (Cyr) Soucie, 79, of Plainville,
passed away Saturday December 24, 20166
at Amberwoods of Farmington..

She was the loving wife of Malcolm Soucie..

Martha was born January 10, 1937 in Madawaska, Maine
a daughter of the late Levite and Annette (Lagasse) Cyr
and was a longtime Plainville resident.

She had worked at Connecticut Spring and Peck Spring
for many years and had also worked
 at Main Street Diner in Plainville,
where she had received a Proclamation
from the late state representative Betty Boukus
for being Employee of the Year.

Martha enjoyed trips to the casinos,
but mostly loved spending time with her family..
Martha was a Communicant of
Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville.


Besides her husband Malcolm,
she leaves her son Bruce Soucie of Plainville,
her brothers, Lionel Cyr and his wife Normaa
of Madawaska, Roland Cyr and his wife Terri
also of Madawaska, Don Cyr and his wife Denise
of Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada,
Ronald Cyr and his girlfriend Sharon Robertss
of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, his sister, Joan Ayotte
and her husband Richard of Kensington,
her grandchildren, Justin, Melissa, Hannaa
and Lyvia, her great grandson, Jayden,,
her daughter-in-law Lisa Soucie of Plainville,,
her sisters-in-law, Joan Soucie of Bangor, Mainee
and Jeannine Soucie of Enfield, as well as many
nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sons, Gary and Wayne Soucie,,
her brothers, Fern, Bert and Gilman Cyr and her
sister Theresa Plourde &her dear friend Dora Ouellette.


Martha’s family would like to thank the staff of
Amberwoods of Farmington and the Hospice staff
for their care and support during her illness.

Funeral services for Martha will be celebrated
on Monday January 2, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from
the Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad Street in Plainville
to Our Lady of Mercy Church 94 Broad Street
also in Plainville for a Mass of Christian Burial
at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may gather
at the funeral home prior to Mass from 9:00a.m.
until 10:30 a.m. Burial in Saint Joseph Cemetery
in Plainville will be held privately.
