REGINA BERUBE
Regina Deshaies Berube, age 80, returned to our heavenly father
on July 9, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born on April 25,

1945 to Gerard and Elizabeth (Beaulieu) Deshaies of New Britain, CT, Regina
graduated with honors from St. Joseph College, West Hartford, CT.

She pursued a career in teaching. She had a passion for sewing,
creating her own clothes, bridal dresses, and christening gowns.

She met the love of her life, Robert Berube, in the basement of St. Mary's church.
They were wed in that same church on July 25, 1967.

In addition to being a mother of five and a teaching career, Regina served
the Catholic church and her community.

She facilitated RENEW counseling groups and was consistently conscientious of others
in need. She became editor in chief for Robert's homilies and supported him
unconditionally as he pursued the path to becoming a deacon.

Regina leaves her husband Robert of 58 years and her five children,
Robert F. Berube & wife Birgit Berube, Annemarie Berube Sundgren & partner
George Clark III, Rachel Berube Beckwith & husband Brian Beckwith,
Diana Berube & partner Brian Coffey, Michael Berube as well as eleven grandchildren
and two great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister, Janet Bertelsen
and two nephews, Tommy and Steven Bertelsen.
She was predeceased by her parents Gerard and Elizabeth Deshaies
and her brother Joseph Richard Deshaies.

Regina's family will receive visitors on Monday, July 21, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville, CT.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 19 South Canal Street, Plainville,
with a burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 151 Farmington Avenue, Plainville, CT.
