Siberio "Sebby" R. Massi, 69, of Farmington died on Friday,
February 27, 2004 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Campovico Province of Sondrio, Italy, he was the son of the late
Carmella Zaffetti
and Paolo Massi. "Sebby" emigrated from Italy to the United States in 1954 at
the age of 19.
In 1963, he founded P&M Mason Contractors, Inc. with his former partner Joseph
Perillo.
He retired in 2000 and continued to work until the time of his death. "Sebby"
truly loved his work and his business.
He was a Farmington resident since 1986 and formerly resided in Plainville and
New Britain.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Italian Fraternal Society,
and a member of St. Patrick's Church in Farmington.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria M. Massi; and his loving children,
Lynne Massi Mussulli and her husband David of Douglas, MA, Paul Massi and his
wife Christine,
Michael Massi and his wife Diane, all of Southington.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jacob and Benjamin Mussulli, Allyson,
Nicholas and Jenna Massi;
and his mother-in-law Rena Massi of New Britain. Surviving in Italy are a
brother Duilio Massi
and sister Zita "Tersilla" Giobert; two nephews, Pietro and Federico, and a
niece Maria.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a nephew Matteo.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at 9:00 AM at
Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 S. Main St., New Britain
followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at
St. Patrick's Church, 110 Main St., Farmington at 10:00 AM.
Entombment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
