Yvette (Bouchard) Albert

August 23, 2023

Yvette (Bouchard) Albert, 92, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2023.

The fourth of seven daughters born to Charles and Yvonne (Ouellette) Bouchard
of Frenchville, Maine, Yvette married her loving husband, Jean Albert,
in 1951 and shortly afterward moved from Maine to Plainville, Connecticut,
where she and Jean raised their family.

Yvette loved children. The Albert home was always a beehive of activity,
with five kids, their assorted friends and family pets adding to the happy chaos.

A backyard pool made the Albert’s the “go-to” place for summer fun,
where Yvette happily watched the action from the safety of her lawn chair,
supervising Jean’s efforts at the grill. Family holidays, camping vacations,
Sunday Suppers and game nights were but a few highlights of a life well-lived.
As her children grew and moved away from home,
Yvette cheerfully stepped into her role as “memere” to her six grandchildren,
spoiling them with treats, hugs, and lots of love.
She was a very proud mother, grandmother and,
in recent years, great-grandmother.

Yvette will be fondly remembered by her children,
Theresa (Richard) Nadolny of Southington, Charles (Kara) Albert of Enfield,
John (Camille) Albert of Colorado and Michelle (Jamie) Elsasser
also of Colorado, by her grandchildren Colleen, Raymond, Kathleen,
Ryan, Max, and Bowden, and by great-grandchildren,
Albert, Leo, Ellie and Evan.

Sadly, the family is also mourning the loss of Yvette's daughter,
Joan Albert of Plainville, who left this
world just a day after her mother’s passing.

Yvette will also be missed by her surviving sisters, Fernand Bergeron of Terryville
and Simone Bouchard of Plainville, by her various sisters- and brothers-in-law,
and her many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Southington Care Center
for the loving care they provided Yvette in her final years.

Those wishing to remember
Yvette in a special way are asked to donate
in her name to their favorite charity.
